Welcome! I’m Jackie, a licensed therapist, living and working in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
I enjoy working with people who are curious about their inner worlds and wish to understand themselves better. Many of my clients are sensitive, caring people who feel things deeply. They crave a deeper sense of belonging and meaning in their everyday lives. They may feel an acute awareness of what’s happening around them and tend to struggle with overwhelm and burnout. They may also find themselves in professional or personal roles that are driven by their deep care for the world or others.
I find that our challenges and our gifts often go hand-in-hand. While sensitivity is a tremendous gift- a magical power that helps us pay attention to what is beautiful in our lives, it can also be overwhelming and make being a human extra hard sometimes. Additionally, trauma, anxiety, burnout, and chronic stress can all be barriers in the pursuit for a more connected, fulfilling life.
I help people build their emotional capacity and boundaries without hardening to the joy, sorrow, beauty, and bittersweetness of life.
I approach therapy from a holistic lens that honors the mind-body-spirit connection. To me, therapy is about finding ways to support our innate capacity to heal and remembering what vitality feels like. My therapeutic approach is nurturing, compassionate, curious, and gently challenging at times. I use a blend of talk therapy, somatic (body-based) approaches, expressive arts, and mindfulness to support people on their therapeutic paths.

“the best response to pain is to dive deeper into your caring. Which is exactly the opposite of what most of us want to do. We want to avoid pain: to ward off the bitter by not caring quite so much about the sweet.”
